Requirements

  • University or Bachelor's degree (preferred but not mandatory)
  • 3-5 years out of an Industry Graduate role with sales or pre-sales experience
  • Good understanding of data centre Information Technology
  • Willingness to learn the industry and market segment in which key accounts are situated, and integrate this knowledge into consultative selling
  • Willingness to learn program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track, and ensure successful pursuit
  • Knowledge of HPE's services value proposition, hybrid cloud capabilities (including HPE GreenLake as-a-service solutions, Managed Services, Advisory and Professional Services), and how customers make use of them
  • Knowledge of marketing campaigns to align initiatives with account planning activities
  • Solid understanding of competitors to strategically position HPE's products and services

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive sales pipeline or work in a pre-sales capacity on pipeline driven by Account Managers
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and provide specialist expertise within the sales team
  • Prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities using specialized knowledge and skills
  • Sell hybrid cloud offerings (HPE GreenLake as-a-service solutions, Managed Services, Advisory and Professional Services) to end-user customers and/or partners in assigned geographic territory or industry, focusing on new business or up-selling
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors in accounts to strategically position HPE's products and services
  • Provide support to Account Managers and input regarding business development and solution expertise
  • Establish professional, working, and consultative relationships with clients by developing a core understanding of their unique business needs within their industry
  • Develop consultative customer proposals, tailoring strategy and solutions to meet customer needs and business challenges/objectives
  • Invest time working with and leveraging external partners to deliver sales
  • Manage a small portfolio of existing customers for contract renewals and upsell
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure account retention and growth, positioning HPE as the preferred vendor
