Requirements
- Complies with federal, state, and local HVAC/R industry regulations and guidelines (e.g., building codes, indoor air quality, cold chain requirements) by conducting inspections and making repairs
- Complies with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart HVAC/R safety policy and environmental guidelines and reclaiming ozone-depleting refrigerants
- Maintains quality standards by inspecting installations and modifications of new HVAC/R equipment and EMS, ensuring contract compliance, and identifying/reporting deficiencies
- Provides required paperwork by completing and submitting expense vouchers, summaries, refrigerant logs, and work orders
- Manages refrigerant levels and parts inventory, records purchases and usage, tracks/orders parts, and develops relationships with parts suppliers and contractors
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, maintains, and repairs HVAC/R, EMS, and DDC equipment; performs major and minor preventive maintenance; manages district workload with external service providers
- Compiles and reports budget information, requests replacement equipment, submits warranty claims, reviews journals and invoices, conducts price comparisons, and develops scopes of work (e.g., RTU condenser coil replacements)
- Builds relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, identifies business needs, determines/carries out processes, monitors progress, recognizes improvement opportunities, and adapts to competing demands, changes, and new responsibilities
- Models compliance with company policies/procedures, supports ethics/integrity standards, uses Open Door Policy, and assists others in applying these
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise, provides expert advice/guidance, aligns efforts to meet customer/business needs, and builds commitment for perspectives/rationales
- Uses policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identifies priorities/deadlines/expectations; communicates progress; recommends improvements; adapts to change/feedback

Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and make repairs to comply with HVAC/R regulations and guidelines
- Perform work per safety policies, reclaim refrigerants to comply with OSHA/EPA
- Inspect HVAC/R installations/modifications/EMS, ensure contract compliance, report deficiencies
- Complete/submit paperwork (expense vouchers, summaries, refrigerant logs, work orders)
- Manage refrigerant/parts inventory, track/order parts, build supplier/contractor relationships
- Troubleshoot/diagnose/maintain/repair HVAC/R/EMS/DDC; perform preventive maintenance; manage external providers
