Position Overview

Twilio is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join its high-impact HR team, supporting Twilio's global Engineering, Product, and R&D organizations. This role is designed for an individual who thrives in a product development environment, is motivated to drive organizational success, and can translate complexity into clarity. As an HRBP, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders in Twilio's engineering organization to develop talent strategies and workforce plans that enhance skills, evolve work methods, and foster a culture of world-class CPaaS product delivery.

About the Role

Reporting to the HRBP lead for the Chief Product Officer, you will be instrumental in shaping talent strategies and workforce plans for Twilio's engineering functions. You will leverage a consultative, data-driven approach to identify opportunities, utilize analytics to achieve targeted outcomes, and build high-ROI programs in areas such as organization design, workforce planning, and culture development. You will also partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure alignment of functional talent strategies with cyclical programs and utilize AI tools to enhance productivity. As a trusted advisor, you will maintain a strong say:do ratio, uphold confidentiality, and provide effective executive coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Bring energy, insight, and action to every challenge.
  • Employ a consultative, data-driven approach to uncover opportunities.
  • Utilize analytics and insights to drive timely, targeted outcomes.
  • Build high-ROI programs across org design, workforce planning, and culture curation.
  • Partner closely with COEs to ensure functional talent strategy syncs with cyclical programs.
  • Turbo-boost productivity with sensible usage of AI tools.
  • Maintain a strong say:do ratio and uphold confidentiality as a trusted advisor.
  • Bring effective executive coaching skills to the table.
  • Leverage deep understanding of engineering organizations to shape outcomes.
  • Lead by example, embodying and modeling Twilio Magic (values).

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years of HRBP experience.
  • 3+ years partnering with software engineering or product management teams.
  • Deep knowledge of engineering organizations, including operating models, methodologies, roles, and trends.
  • Proven ability to deliver scalable, high-ROI, business-first people programs.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Energized by learning, solving complex problems, and driving results.

Desired:

  • Experience partnering with internal OE consultants and/or HCM strategy firms.
  • Background working within HRBP teams that build and drive functional talent strategies.

Location

  • Remote, based in Canada.

Travel

  • Approximately 10% travel is anticipated for building meaningful connections with customers and colleagues.
