Requirements

  • Ability to work 100% onsite, covering Stock Yards, Broadline Greensburg, Buffalo NY, St. Paul Stock Yards, and Allentown CES
  • Experience in a cold plant environment (required to visit the plant)
  • Expertise in HR areas including employee relations, investigations, performance management, FMLA/STD/ADA counseling, organizational design and development, recruiting, compensation analysis, compliance management
  • Ability to partner with department management on strategic initiatives, business goals, and operational plans
  • Skills in administering HR plans, interpreting policies, advising on organizational structure, disciplinary actions, and recognition
  • Capability to develop, implement, and facilitate training programs
  • No direct supervision responsibilities (N/A)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate HR activities aligning with business goals, managing recruiting, onboarding, goal setting, performance assessment, development, succession planning, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and exits
  • Function as a business partner and advocate, identifying and directing HR solutions to business needs while ensuring compliant delivery of HR programs
  • Provide comprehensive HR support in employee relations, investigations, performance management, FMLA/STD/ADA counseling, organizational design and development, recruiting, compensation analysis and recommendations, compliance management
  • Identify and resolve employee problems through performance appraisals, counseling, coaching, and direct support
  • Partner with department management on short- and long-term strategic initiatives for performance and goal attainment
  • Partner with client leads on HR operational plans for reorganizations, staffing optimization, work practice improvements
  • Administer HR plans and procedures, assist in policy development and implementation, interpret Employee Handbook and policies, advise on structure, discipline, recognition
  • Participate in developing department goals and objectives
  • Develop, implement, and facilitate comprehensive training programs for HR goals
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
