HR Generalist - Philippines

Position Overview

It's fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they are doing! Neogen is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in the Philippines. This pivotal role will partner closely with the Country Business Leader to drive a high-performing and engaged culture within a newly created legal entity. You will lead the people agenda, ensuring seamless operations across the full employee life-cycle while aligning talent strategies to business goals.

This is an on-site position based in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to the Country Business Leader and point of contact for employees across the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal governance of people policies and procedures.
  • Lead the transition from an outsourced PEO model to in-house employment, including payroll, benefits, HRIS (Workday), and administrative operations.
  • Drive initiatives to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent, aligned with Neogen’s growth strategy.
  • Oversee core HR programs including Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Performance Management, Learning & Development, and Total Rewards.
  • Champion a positive employee experience and high engagement across the workforce.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with regional and global HR partners to ensure consistency and alignment in people practices.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or related discipline.
  • Experience: 7–12 years of experience across the full HR spectrum within multinational companies.
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated experience in setting up and streamlining HR operations from scratch is highly valued.
    • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
    • Highly organised, proactive, and analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: Experience in healthcare or biosciences industry preferred but not essential.
