Experience in housekeeping (a must)
High School or GED Equivalent (preferred)
One to three months related experience (preferred)
Ability to work 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 3:30pm-12:00am, rotating weekends/holidays (80 hours/2 weeks)
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean/neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
Participate in cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
Keep assigned areas fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc
Maintain stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
Maintain good customer relations at all times
Sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens (may be required)
Other duties as assigned
Promote Avera’s values of compassion, hospitality, and stewardship
Maintain confidentiality
Coordinate workflow with team members to ensure a productive and efficient environment
