Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment initiatives to grow the practice from companion animal hospital to include emergency and referral services
  • Expand clinical services and service offerings
  • Manage travel and scheduling of a multi-DVM practice with rotation of specialists
  • Develop strong marketing campaigns to promote new service offerings and increase patient volume
  • Foster relationships with college programs to aid in recruitment initiatives
  • Oversee, support, and nurture the pet experience by ensuring necessary resources, equipment, and team members for best medical, surgical, and emergency care
  • Ensure medical teams have access to continuing education, mentorship, and development opportunities
  • Strategic planning and business plan development and implementation
  • Manage accreditation, certification, and other medical SOPs
  • Oversee client care, patient care, compliance, KPI management, best practices, and operational SOPs
  • Drive revenue growth and cost management, particularly labor and cost of sales (COS)
  • Teambuilding and professional development considering patient and hospital needs
  • Human resources management including hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution
  • Client service and hospital marketing support
  • Monthly analysis and reporting, and operationalizing areas for improvement
  • Liaise with P3’s Medical Advisory Board, university professors, college instructors, industry program providers, and individual instructors to develop and coordinate courses
  • Maintain exceptional relationships with hospital leads, teams, and referring veterinary practices
