Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science degree and at least 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, or at least 8 years for Senior Systems Engineer positions. They must have experience reviewing MIL-STD and USSTRATCOM directives, as well as HEMP technical data including frequency authorizations, test plans and reports. Active Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI, and experience interacting with SpOC SAM-D / HEMP PMO HEMP protected personnel and facilities is essential. Acquisition experience and coordination with SSC and AFLCMC are also required.
The HEMP Systems Engineer will review contractor proposed designs, upgrades, and project management plans to ensure compliance with MIL-STD and USSTRATCOM certification requirements, manage coordination activities, provide Technical Documentation and Policy Support, accomplish Technical Assessments/Review and Hardened Facility Modification Support, support meetings and status reporting, perform engineering assessments of HEMP plans including frequency authorization requests, and aid contractors in resolving schedule, cost, and project completion impacts. They will also analyze sustainment and upgrade programs, provide recommendations to SpOC SAM-D / HEMP PMO, and perform engineering assessments of new RF/EM test system designs and software tool solutions for HEMP testing.
