Candidates should possess an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of one year of experience in a help desk or technical support capacity. They must demonstrate knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, as well as common software applications, and possess strong communication skills coupled with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools is also required, along with detail-oriented skills and strong organizational abilities.
The Help Desk professional will respond promptly to incoming help desk inquiries via phone, email, and chat, delivering excellent customer service. They will troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for end-users, document all support interactions in the ticketing system, assist in setting up and configuring new equipment and software, and provide guidance and support to users on the effective usage of applications and IT systems. The role also includes collaborating with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues, monitoring ticket statuses to ensure timely resolutions, and keeping up to date with new technologies and updates to effectively support users.
