Field Service Maintenance Technician

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shop or field heavy equipment troubleshooting and repair, along with a Technical Certification or Associate’s Degree. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principles is required, as is the ability to work within set time parameters, multitask, and follow procedures. Applicants must also have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to obtain a forklift license, while maintaining tools suitable for heavy equipment repair.
The Heavy Equipment Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and performing complex repairs on heavy equipment, including pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues, both in the shop and in the field. They will also perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to schedule, complete work orders in a timely manner, maintain daily truck inspection logs, communicate effectively with the service manager, and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Additionally, the technician will be expected to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills for daily reporting and possess basic computer literacy skills for transmitting information via email.
