Field Service Maintenance Technician

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shop or field heavy equipment troubleshooting and repair, along with technical certifications or an Associate’s Degree. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principles is required, as well as the ability to work within set time parameters, multi-task, and follow procedures. Applicants must also be able to obtain a forklift license and have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and be able to properly lift and handle heavy loads up to 55 lbs.
The Heavy Equipment Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and performing complex repairs on heavy equipment, including pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues, both in the shop and field. They will also perform preventative maintenance as scheduled, complete work orders in a timely manner, maintain daily truck inspection logs, communicate effectively with the service manager, and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Furthermore, they will demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills for daily reporting, utilize computer literacy for transmitting information via email, and work with limited supervision and independent judgment while maintaining positive working relationships and professionally managing difficult situations.
