Field Service Maintenance Technician

Candidates must possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shop or field heavy equipment troubleshooting and repair, along with a preferred Technical Certifications or Associate’s Degree. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principles is required, as well as the ability to work within set time parameters, multitask, follow procedures, work with limited supervision, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Applicants must be able to obtain a forklift license, furnish tools suitable for heavy equipment repair, and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, alongside the ability to safely maneuver around equipment, work in various weather conditions, and lift heavy loads up to 55 lbs.
The Heavy Equipment Service Technician will troubleshoot and perform complex repairs on equipment including pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues, both in the shop and in the field, while also completing work orders in a timely manner and maintaining daily truck inspection logs. They will perform preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled, maintain open communication with the service manager, and collaborate with all departments to respond to customer needs, ensuring high-quality repair service and meeting customer requirements.
