Responsibilities

  • Perform fundamental analysis of the sector to identify key trends and best-positioned companies in Healthcare (life-sciences, tools, and med-tech)
  • Conduct primary research on companies and industry (researching financial statements & market data, interviewing management, visiting companies) to gain deep understanding and support buy/sell recommendations
  • Make recommendations to Portfolio Managers to buy/sell specific stocks to positively impact portfolio performance
  • Position ideas and convince Portfolio Managers to act on recommendations by articulating risk/reward payoff
  • Effectively follow up with Portfolio Managers after execution, providing constant feedback on meaningful changes in the stock's story
  • Develop and communicate investment recommendations within the firm
  • Provide thought-leadership about healthcare trends
  • Mentor more junior members of the healthcare investment team
