Responsibilities

  • Create and execute multi-year category strategies for technology categories (software, hardware, SaaS, cloud, managed services) aligned with business priorities
  • Lead creation of a rolling 5-year plan for pursuing savings and value-added opportunities
  • Establish bold cost-take-out goals and drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Develop a multi-year sourcing projects plan to deliver cost savings, support innovation, and ensure service continuity, aligning Sourcing timelines to Technology roadmaps
  • Stay abreast of technology trends and supplier strategies to support partners, identify savings, and drive innovation via new sourcing models
  • Lead implementation and leverage of AI across the enterprise to optimize commercial opportunities, internal efficiencies, and mitigate risks
  • Lead supplier relationship management (SRM) for strategic suppliers, including performance reviews and risk mitigation
  • Establish supplier segmentation and champion relations with strategic suppliers to drive innovation, quality, and risk reduction
  • Oversee proactive market assessments for risk and integrate insights into SRM strategies
  • Collaborate on complex strategic negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, manage contracts, drive savings, and optimize value
  • Define negotiation strategies for key suppliers in partnership with technology stakeholders and Sourcing colleagues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, finance, legal) to understand needs and gain buy-in for sourcing strategies
  • Act as key liaison to the S&P Chief Client Office (CCO) for developing holistic partnerships with key technology vendors
  • Monitor and mitigate supplier-related risks
