Thumbtack is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of New Ventures to lead the ideation and incubation of new growth initiatives. This role is crucial for unlocking the next stage of growth for Thumbtack by making bold new bets and developing scalable businesses. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to create value across our marketplace, focusing on customers, professionals, and partners.

The Business Development team is instrumental in driving Thumbtack's growth by transforming innovative ideas into scalable businesses. We operate across all facets of the Thumbtack marketplace, including Customers, Pros, Fulfillment, and Platform & Tools. Our responsibilities span launching new initiatives from inception ("0 to 1") and creating the operational frameworks for scaling them into sustainable revenue streams. We lead key supply and demand programs, manage critical API partnerships, and serve as general managers for these areas. Our team also provides deep category expertise to ensure a seamless and reliable experience for both customers and professionals across all services offered.
The Head of New Ventures will be the driving force behind our "0 to 1" efforts, responsible for the ideation and incubation of groundbreaking ideas. This team makes strategic, high-impact investments to fuel Thumbtack's future growth. You will collaborate extensively with internal and external partners across various teams and industries, focusing on delivering value and enhancing the homeownership and property management journey for all users.
