Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in digital editorial, content strategy, or platform management—preferably in the automotive, technology, or innovation sectors
  • Deep expertise in SEO/SEM, UX principles, and audience development
  • Proven experience managing content platforms, CMS systems, and cross-functional publishing workflows
  • Understanding of structured data, content tagging, and optimization for AI/LLM platforms
  • Strong storytelling and editorial judgment with the ability to deliver expert editorial guidance across formats and audiences
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling new editorial or content marketing programs
  • Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with data and KPIs to inform decisions
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee GM’s editorial sites and content platforms, including GM News and related brand publishing channels
  • Develop and implement SEO and SEM strategies to drive discoverability, engagement, and authority for GM’s stories and announcements
  • Define and execute audience growth strategies, leveraging analytics, insights, and distribution best practices to expand reach across owned and earned channels
  • Partner with UX and digital teams to evolve site architecture, improve user journeys, and enhance accessibility and performance
  • Create and operationalize editorial processes that streamline planning, publishing, and performance tracking across internal teams and agency partners
  • Lead integrated content strategies that align with communications, brand, and marketing initiatives—ensuring cohesive storytelling across channels
  • Spearhead new editorial initiatives, such as video series, podcasts, and interactive content experiences that highlight GM’s innovation, culture, and leadership
  • Drive optimization for AI and LLM discovery, ensuring GM’s content is structured and surfaced effectively across emerging platforms
  • Implement AI tools and features across both workflows and site development
  • Analyze performance data to inform strategy, share insights with stakeholders, and continually optimize content and platform investments
