  • Proficiency in issue and crisis management with strategic guidance
  • Experience managing agencies, budgets, and external PR partners for scalable, insight-driven work
  • Expertise leveraging data, insights, media performance, customer trends, competitive intelligence, and GenAI/emerging tools

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-impact communications team
  • Serve as a strategic counselor to senior leaders in Merchandising, eCommerce, and Health & Wellness
  • Drive bold, breakthrough communications strategies aligned to commercial, brand priorities, seasonal moments, category strategies, and innovation roadmap
  • Shape Walmart’s omnichannel narrative for customers, media, suppliers, policymakers, associates, third-party sellers, and business customers
  • Own media relationships and earned storytelling around category leadership, digital acceleration, marketplace growth, price leadership, customer trust, and health innovation
  • Collaborate across the enterprise to ensure message alignment
  • Lead issue and crisis management to protect and strengthen Walmart’s reputation
  • Manage agencies and budgets with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and measurable impact
  • Leverage data, technology, GenAI, and insights to inform strategies, evaluate impact, and refine messaging
  • Operate as a visionary people leader who lifts teams, clarifies priorities, and inspires best-in-class work
  • Bring bold, modern communications ideas to push Walmart’s storytelling forward
  • Build trusted relationships with media and influencers
