Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, and a degree in Graphics or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years of graphics experience is required, along with knowledge of multiple Harland Clarke Operating Systems and supporting processes. Extensive working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including expert-level proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat, is essential. A deep understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and branding is also required, as is familiarity with managing timelines, resources, and cross-functional coordination. Understanding of internal workflows involving Legal, Marketing, IT, and Client Quality, the ability to lead, coach, and develop a team of graphic professionals, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the capability to identify issues and implement client-focused solutions are necessary. The role also requires the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, create and deliver training programs, and identify inefficiencies for improvement.
The Graphics Manager will manage the activities within the Graphics department, ensuring all established quality and service goals are attained. They will work closely with the Director of System Specifications and other Vericast leaders to provide optimal support to clients, setting priorities and giving daily direction on the set-up of graphics for manufacturing plants and internet ordering channels. Responsibilities include supporting internal requests for graphics, coordinating implementation with Client Quality, Legal, IT, Manufacturing, and Marketing departments, and providing updates to Managers and Project Leads. The manager will distribute workload, serve as the contact for graphics issues and system-related questions, and manage employee relations concerning attendance, payroll, and performance. They will administer corporate human resources and internal workgroup policies, coach, train, and develop the Graphics department, and participate in project and process improvement teams. Additionally, they will ensure clear communication through all internal and external channels, oversee the operation of the Corporate Graphics Department, communicate updates on projects and team performance to upper management, and interact with internal decision-makers for testing and completion of new graphics maintenance and routine requests. The manager will ensure client requests are fulfilled accurately and expediently by working with corporate processes such as Client Quality, Legal, Marketing, Internet Content, and Manufacturing.
