Requirements

The Global Security Operations Center Operator must have experience monitoring physical security asset monitoring and surveillance systems. They should be proficient in using open-source threat intelligence and internal SaaS tools for situational awareness. Experience supporting access control and visitor management processes is required. The role demands the ability to manage security-related calls, provide guidance to employees and visitors, and maintain awareness of business travelers and personnel accessing facilities. A strong understanding of security and emergency standard operating procedures, along with critical thinking and problem-solving skills, is essential. Experience with incident intake, assessment, triage, and dispatching response personnel is necessary. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively during emerging incidents and maintain real-time incident documentation. Familiarity with travel risk assessment and assisting travelers is also required.

Responsibilities

The GSOC Operator will monitor various data sources, including access control systems, external incident aggregators, and travel safety applications, to identify potential business disruptions and threats. They will serve as the primary contact for employees regarding physical safety and security concerns. When an incident occurs, the operator will dispatch security resources, escalate issues to crisis management teams, send communications to employees, or execute mass notifications for employee safety. Responsibilities include performing first-point incident intake for medical emergencies, natural disasters, fire/evacuations, travel disruptions, and security incidents. They will assess and triage events, coordinate response with emergency personnel, communicate updates to large audiences, and maintain incident documentation. The role also involves performing life-safety checks in impacted areas and participating in post-incident reviews to identify improvements. Additionally, the operator will support access control and visitor management, manage security calls, and partner with local security teams for incident response.
