The role requires extensive overseas and offshore working, approximately 29 weeks per annum, involving on-site installation, maintenance, and service at customer locations.
Candidates need an accredited Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant experience, including a recognized Craft apprenticeship in fitting and assembly on large high voltage rotating electrical machines. Key skills include mechanical alignment checks using mechanical, optical, and laser systems, fault finding, stripping down and rebuilding generators, and effective communication in English.
