Role Description

Zoetis Virtual Lab (ZVL) is currently seeking a dedicated veterinary clinical pathologist based in the US that is interested in full-time employment. Education/Experience Requirements

  • ACVP or ECVCP Clinical Pathology board certification or board eligibility
  • DVM (or equivalent) required
  • Formal pathology training – residency or graduate studies (Master’s or PhD) in clinical pathology-related field
  • 2-5 years diagnostic pathology experience preferred
  • 1-2 years minimum experience reading digitized glass slides preferred

Technical Skills Requirements

  • Strong diagnostic skills in clinical pathology, especially cytology and hematology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highest level interpersonal skills and ability to work as a collaborative team member
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility to changing methods and technologies
  • Able to work efficiently while subscribing to the highest quality standards

Physical Requirements

  • Able to work hours on a computer and tolerate computer screens
  • Able to assess digitized slides visually for evaluation and reporting
  • Required vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus as required to assess digitized slides
  • Ability to effectively conduct phone calls and communicate in person.
  • May be required to lift, move, carry up to 25 lbs.

Note: As this is a remote position, a reliable internet connection with consistent download speed of at least 50 Mbps is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Range (Colorado): $91,000 - $131,000 Base Pay Range (California, NJ Remote, NY Remote, Washington): $96,000 - $148,000 Base pay may vary based on location and other factors. This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.
