Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline and 20+ years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree in field with 15+ years of experience
  • Expert in software development and deployment as it applies to regulated operations and production execution environments
  • Expert in Lean principles applied through digital solutions in driving operational excellence
  • Proven global program leadership – delivering enterprise IIoT solutions across sites, functions, and vendors
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% to both Beckman and supplier/vendor sites

Responsibilities

  • Architect global IIoT/OT connectivity solutions integrating GxP manufacturing equipment into validated, real-time digital ecosystems to drive productivity, compliance, and 21 CFR Part 11/820 traceability
  • Lead cross-functional global teams to deliver smart factory tools that achieve KPIs in OEE, quality, and real-time release (RTR)
  • Design and implement enterprise IIoT architecture leveraging standardized protocols (OPC UA, MQTT/Sparkplug B), edge gateways, and cloud platforms for sustainable connectivity
  • Develop and deploy global standards for equipment onboarding, secure data pipelines, and digital device history records (DHR)
  • Govern adoption of standards, processes, and technology aligned with medical device regulations (FDA, EU MDR, ISO 13485) and the enterprise smart factory roadmap
