Requirements

  • At least an HBO/Bachelor education, preferably in the field of accounting
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar position (experience in finance is a plus)
  • Good knowledge of IFRS
  • Knowledge of credits and credit products, lease products and components
  • Advanced command of Microsoft Excel
  • Good command of Dutch and English, in both speech and writing
  • Accurate, driven, and proactive
  • Enjoys working independently and in a team environment, contributing to solutions and improvements
  • Analytical, structured, and able to translate complex financial information into clear insights
  • Strong sense of responsibility to ensure compliance with regulations and support reliable financial reporting

Responsibilities

  • Verify and handle general ledger transactions
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Manage month-end bookings
  • Participate in external and internal audits, including resolving audit findings
  • Participate in IT projects from an accounting standpoint that intersect with financial management
  • Assist with internal and external report generation
  • Support the payments department
  • Focus primarily on the consumer finance sector
  • Enhance existing processes and establish new ones
  • Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely management of financial data, covering general ledger, debtors, creditors, subsystem connections, and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Provide both internal and external financial reports promptly and accurately, including CIT, VAT reports, and other relevant statistical reports
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports
  • Supply balance sheet and profit and loss information to the head office in compliance with IFRS
  • Adhere to financial, tax regulations, and laws correctly
  • Assist in defining data requirements and providing necessary information for project/activity settlements
