Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Geology, Engineering or related discipline
  • Significant Subsurface experience
  • At least 10 years' experience in Engineering/Technology, Geoservices or Subsurface or Petroleum Engineering or Production Engineering
  • Working knowledge of Production Technology or Petroleum Engineering
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization and effectively influence others
  • Ability to work across disciplines and coordinate across several projects
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the subsurface focal point for UK well construction operations for external and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the Well Construction business segment with advising customers on Baker Hughes technology to help improve subsurface understanding based on customer requirements during operational planning
  • Engaging with other groups in the Baker Hughes organisation to ensure appropriate subsurface professional support is available when required
  • Identifying opportunities where other GaffneyCline energy advisory disciplines may be impactful to the customers business
  • Supporting business development including identifying upsell opportunities and proposal preparation
  • Participating in industry events and presentations to expand the GaffneyCline energy advisory brand
