Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue and margin goals by driving market share growth
  • Manage profit and loss targets including sales, contribution margin, inventory turns, GMROI, and DOS
  • Leverage data, insights, and analytics to influence stakeholders and make recommendations
  • Manage vendors by collaborating and negotiating with manufacturers to achieve in-year sales/margin goals and long-term partnerships
  • Perform P&L management, forecasting, and pulling levers to drive P&L
  • Embrace organizational improvement initiatives and act as a change agent with team, peers, and partners
  • Establish and enforce policies/procedures promoting ethical behavior, compliance, and best practices
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between departments for cohesive goal achievement
  • Drive change agility in self, team, and network
  • Measure retention and KPI results, providing recurring readouts to senior leadership with cross-functional partners
  • Leverage a results-oriented mindset using metrics to monitor improvements
  • Develop and manage standardized views for internal monitoring
  • Participate in shaping category strategy under leadership direction
  • Use tactics including assortment, promotions, ExtraCare, digital, social, marketing, store brand, and supplier capabilities to meet goals
  • Share best practices with peers, Senior Category Manager, and Division Market Manager
  • Present to Senior Category Manager and DMM leadership for alignment
