Candidates must have at least 5 years of in-house accounting experience, including preparing month-end close reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts. A university degree in accounting is required, with a CPA or similar international charter preferred. Strong proficiency in NetSuite, Ramp, Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), and Google Sheets is essential. Comprehensive familiarity with GAAP accounting is necessary, and advanced proficiency in lease accounting is a plus. Applicants should demonstrate high attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. The role also requires the ability to pass an international background check and provide satisfactory references.
The General Ledger Accountant will support the Head of Finance and Controller in maintaining the company's financial books, records, and accounting policies. Key responsibilities include executing month-end close activities, such as preparing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing balance sheet and income statement accounts. This role involves managing the entire fixed asset lifecycle, including tracking capital expenditures, calculating depreciation and amortization, and reconciling fixed asset accounts. The accountant will also coordinate with the Revenue/Receivables team for cash applications, reconcile intercompany accounts, and assist in preparing schedules and documentation for annual financial audits. Additionally, they will interface with the accounts payable team to ensure proper expense classification and enforce best practices.
