Candidates must possess at least 5 years of progressive general accounting experience, ideally within a SaaS or tech industry. Expertise in payroll and benefits accounting and reconciliation, along with a strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 340, is essential. Proven success in completing full-cycle month-end close processes, advanced proficiency in Excel, and experience with major ERP systems are required. Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively are also necessary.
The Senior Accountant will manage accounting functions for payroll, benefits, bonuses, and commissions, including related ASC 340 Contract Assets. Responsibilities include preparing and reconciling assigned general ledger accounts, analyzing accounts, and preparing fluctuation analyses with variance explanations for senior leadership. The role involves accurately processing contractor payroll, verifying wages, bonuses, commissions, and statutory deductions, and partnering with HR and other teams to validate employee data. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will support accounting projects, identify and implement process improvements for automation and efficiency, assist with new system implementations, provide support for year-end audits, and handle ad hoc assignments. This includes benefit review, payment, and reconciliation for various employee benefits.
