Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience or schooling in general construction and use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and understand specifications and blueprints
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel & Word)
  • Strong analytical, organizational skills, and ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize, and work independently
  • Excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License, reliable transportation, and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel up to 2 weeks per month (max 1 week at a time, no weekends), including overnight stays
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Preferred: Successful completion of an accredited Technical/Trade School and forklift certification

Responsibilities

  • Complete delivery, uncrating, and setting in place of foodservice equipment
  • Collaborate with plumbers, electricians, and all mechanical trades to resolve issues and stay within timeframe and install bid
  • Install equipment using hand or power tools
  • Examine and test equipment for defects to ensure proper functioning
  • Follow all safety guidelines, maintaining a clean work area and organized machines/tools
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
