Requirements

  • Knowledge of product codes and descriptions including case pack configurations
  • Manual dexterity required for performing job
  • Willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willing and able to pack off finished cases onto pallets in proper tie and high configuration
  • Willing and able to perform machine wipe down and cover motors with protective plastic at end of shift
  • Use of personal protective equipment: steel-toed work boots, ear plugs, hair net, hard hat, beard net (if applicable), and smock
  • No cell phones or jewelry permitted on the factory floor
  • Perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect packages for defects in size or quality and remove defective product from the line
  • Keep work area clean and tidy during production
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
  • Act as key trainer for on-the-job training to new team members
  • Maintain and promote team member interest in safety
  • Help supervisors and leads with safety awareness, including informing supervisors of unsafe practices observed
  • Promote company culture of respect for all team members at all times and notify the plant manager when observing conduct that violates this culture or company policies
  • Other duties as assigned
