Requirements

  • Proven experience in field coordination or similar roles, with a focus on stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated leadership and training abilities, including onboarding and coaching field technicians (e.g., Field Coordinators and Enumerators)
  • Deep understanding of local sustainability issues in Guatemala and the ability to shape policy discussions and farmer behavior
  • Strong data collection, quality assurance, and data-driven decision-making skills (survey design/administration a plus)
  • Contract management experience, including negotiation, compliance with legal requirements, and overseeing contract execution and amendments
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Data & Insights, Field Operations, program/product teams) and manage diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with government, exporters, farmers’ organizations, NGOs, research institutes, and other partners
  • Strong analytical mindset to surface trends and insights for decision-makers (e.g., coffee roasters, supply chains)
  • Flexibility and willingness to lead ad hoc special projects beyond coffee (e.g., cocoa, oil palm) and to support new initiatives
  • Alignment with Enveritas’s mission and demonstrated commitment to sustainable, integrity-driven practices
  • Ability to work full-time in Guatemala, with readiness for field-based responsibilities and travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead the survey collection process in Guatemala
  • Build strong connections with local partners and stakeholders (government, exporters, farmers’ organizations, NGOs, research institutes)
  • Lead training of Field Coordinators and Enumerators, overseeing onboarding and data collection quality assurance
  • Develop deep expertise in local sustainability issues to inform policy discussions and key actors in the Guatemalan coffee sector
  • Surface trends and insights to help coffee roasters make data-driven supply-chain decisions
  • Manage contracts (negotiation, terms, costs, compliance) and oversee contract execution, documenting changes as needed
  • Collaborate with Enveritas global team on new initiatives (program & field operations managers, data scientists, product managers, software engineers, agronomy, coffee industry experts)
  • Lead ad hoc special projects, including non-coffee initiatives (e.g., cocoa, oil palm)
  • Coordinate list-based verification and stakeholder engagement (Key Sustainability Clusters), strengthen regional partnerships, and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Directly administer Mills and Estates surveys in Guatemala or other origins as necessary
