Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Manual dexterity: ability to use hand tools and other equipment as needed
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including ISO work instructions
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced work environment
  • Willingness to learn the facility safety rules and regulations
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact with other associates throughout the facility
  • Ability to walk, stand, and periodically lift up to 40 lbs. for a minimum of eight hours daily
  • Previous fabrication and/or light industrial experience is a plus
  • Able to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Complete fabrication production activities, including hanging and inspecting parts
  • Safely operate any necessary equipment, including weld cells
  • Appropriate use of PPE, such as arm guards, face shields and Kevlar aprons (while grinding)
  • Conduct visual inspections of both in-process and finished welded products
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to meet 6S standards (e.g. cleaning, mopping)
  • Follow practices that meet quality standards as it pertains to fabrication operations
  • Complete assigned production activities according to ISO work instructions
  • Setup of workstations as needed
  • Report any safety or quality issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Abide by all SBD policies and procedures
  • Follow all SBD safety rules and regulations
  • Identify concerns and provide insight for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Other related production duties as assigned by the Supervisor or designee
