Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with over 5 years of implementation experience, preferably in Workday. Strong end-to-end implementation experience with HR, Financial, or Student Information Systems is required, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse, fast-paced environments, manage multiple projects simultaneously, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate effectively with executive staff. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Functional Architect will provide strategic leadership and expert solutions guidance during the sales process, contributing to RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, and ensuring Workday solutions align with client goals. During implementation, they will lead functional workstreams, ensuring the overall functional integrity of the solution meets client requirements and positions them for long-term success. Key duties include collaborating with sales and delivery teams, owning effort/budgetary estimations, supporting the transition from sales to delivery, providing quality assurance oversight, collaborating cross-functionally with various Workday modules and teams, leading end-to-end functional solution design, providing functional leadership on concurrent implementations, driving client sessions, serving as the primary functional escalation point, promoting continuous improvement of methodologies, and mentoring junior team members.
