The starting salary is $51.29 and progresses according to the union contract.

Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, successful completion of a Cable Splicer progression program to be fully qualified, a valid driver's license with a clean record, ability to obtain or maintain a CDL, and must pass the EEI CAST test, agility assessment, knowledge exam, and behavioral interview.
