Full-Time Remote Lower Elementary Math Teacher

Position Overview

• Job Type: Contract (Full-Time 40 hours/week)
• Salary: $25-$40/hr (Teaching Hours); $16-$ (Administrative Hours)

Think Academy US, a subsidiary of TAL Education Group, is seeking a Remote Lower Elementary Math Teacher to provide K-12 extra-curricular learning services. The role involves teaching math to students from Preschool to 2nd grade, preparing lessons based on the Think Academy curriculum, and communicating with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and teaching online math classes for students on a weekly basis (5-7 classes = approximately 7-15 hours/week).
• Class assignments and teaching hours depend on lesson preparation readiness and student satisfaction.
• Participating in paid teaching assistant work by attending classes and learning from experienced teachers.
• Conducting 1-on-1 evaluations with new students to help them enroll in the correct classes (5-10 hours/week).
• Grading homework and communicating with parents weekly to update them on student learning progress and areas for improvement (5-7 hours/week).
• Performing other work assigned by the teaching management team.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher (all majors welcome, Education or STEM-related majors preferred).
• Experience: Prior math teaching experience is a plus.
• Personality: High-energy, enthusiastic, and charismatic with the ability to engage and excite children effectively.
• Availability: Availability and willingness to work full-time from Wednesday to Sunday starting February 2025.
• Skills: Passionate about teaching, responsible, and enthusiastic about working with children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with parents.

Work Hours

• Schedule: 12:00pm - 8:00pm Wednesday to Sunday (Monday and Tuesdays off).
• Flexibility: Flexible for non-teaching hours, with class schedules as the priority.

• Storytelling: Submit a 5-minute story-telling submission.
• Teaching: Submit a 10-minute teaching submission.
• HR Screening & Final Interview Prep: 15-minute HR screening followed by a 1-hour final interview.
• Team-Fit & Behavioral Interview: Conducted during the final interview.
