Candidates should possess expert knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and WAI-ARIA 1.2, proficiency with screen readers (VoiceOver for Mac, JAWS/NVDA for Windows) and accessibility testing tools (Axe, Google Lighthouse), experience building user-centric and scalable UI frameworks and design systems, expert knowledge of modern web standards and front-end engineering tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Components, REST API, GraphQL, TypeScript, Node/NPM, Responsive UI), understanding of cloud technologies and end-to-end delivery of data-intensive SaaS products, and experience with localization and internationalization (i18n).
The Front-End Engineer - Accessibility Specialist will ensure accessibility compliance through UI development, testing, and code reviews, adhering to WCAG 2.2 guidelines, conduct regular accessibility audits, provide expert guidance to colleagues on accessibility inquiries, collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, product designers, and product managers, triage and prioritize accessibility issues, maintain comprehensive documentation, and write tests to validate accessibility functionality.
