Candidates must be a native Spanish speaker with a C1+ level of English proficiency, possessing 1-3 years of experience in subtitling, translation, dubbing translation/dubbing script creation, quality control, or another integral part of the localization process. They should also demonstrate a passion for their native language and culture, including expert knowledge of lingo, slang, cultural references, and sensitivities, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The Freelance Subtitler will be responsible for creating, editing, and delivering Spanish subtitles for MrBeast YouTube videos, receiving feedback from a Language Coordinator and implementing revisions within 24 hours. They will also assist in creating localized metadata, maintain communication with Language Coordinators and studio partners, and build familiarity with the Beast brand. Additionally, the role involves coordinating localization tasks and auxiliary translating of materials such as video titles and descriptions, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and compliance with language rules.
