Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate, agency, or design firm settings, along with an undergraduate degree in a related field. Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator, is required, alongside the ability to articulate VSA’s Creative Services team capabilities and quickly grasp and apply design intent. Furthermore, candidates should be an organized, detailed problem solver with extreme attention to detail and adept at preemptively identifying problems and devising solutions.

Responsibilities

The Freelance Senior Production Designer will create and oversee the production of design elements for marketing campaigns and projects across various media, including digital and print. They will collaborate with creative directors and art directors to develop and execute concepts, ensuring alignment with client needs and target audiences. The role also encompasses developing and maintaining a strong understanding of brand guidelines, managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines, and cultivating relationships with printers and vendors. Additionally, the designer will provide guidance to junior designers, develop and maintain an organized system for archiving design files, and proactively address design challenges.
