Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in investigations for insurance companies, with relevant experience investigating claims, lawsuits, and/or incidents
  • Experience conducting investigations, including interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and partnerships/collaborations with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with utility software applications
  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum), with at least 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Skills and expertise in claims analysis and recovery operations (for backup Analyst of Recovery position)

Responsibilities

  • Investigate claims and lawsuits involving the Company
  • Locate and interview witnesses
  • Gather Company and external records
  • Work with outside experts and operating personnel to determine causes of incidents
  • Visit incident sites and take photographs to document observations and site conditions
  • Review medical reports and hospital records
  • Assist in selection of appropriate medical specialists to evaluate alleged injuries
  • Actively participate in case review and strategy sessions; provide informed recommendations regarding ongoing investigations to enhance decision-making processes
  • Manage a caseload of serious, high-exposure matters, prioritizing based on risk assessment and potential impact
  • Execute other related tasks and assignments necessary for the effectiveness of the fraud investigation team
  • Serve as critical support in recovery processes during absences in the Recovery team (backup position)
