Position Overview

AffiniPay is a leading fintech company based in Austin, Texas, specializing in payments and practice management software for professional services firms. We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This is a hands-on role at a private equity-backed SaaS & embedded FinTech company. The FP&A Analyst will gain exposure to the company's financial operations and have the opportunity to lead projects focused on improving financial reporting and forecasting. This role involves consolidating and analyzing data from various sources, identifying trends, and presenting insights to stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reports detailing company trends, profitability, and margin structures across brands and channels.
  • Partner with business teams to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Support the month-end close review by identifying and analyzing variances in expenses compared to prior periods, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Enhance weekly and monthly reporting to provide early visibility into developing trends across the portfolio.
  • Continuously improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and customer analytics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on the implementation of internal reporting changes and improvements.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support real-time business decisions.
  • Support the FP&A team with data aggregation and analytics.

About You

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in FP&A, private equity, or investment banking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, enabling clear explanation of financial data and context to business partners.
  • A self-starter with a passion for learning and understanding details, coupled with a strong work ethic.
  • This position is located in Austin, Texas.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning.
  • Experience with Python for financial analysis.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP accounting practices.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau.
