Requirements

Candidates should possess over 5 years of experience in software development and a proven track record of building and delivering scalable solutions. Deep hands-on proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and other development tools for scripting, automation, and API integrations is required, along with expertise in data manipulation and integration, including data conversion and API consumption (REST, GraphQL, SOAP). The role also demands strategic problem-solving abilities, experience managing multiple high-priority projects with little direction, and excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

The Forward Deployed Engineer will act as the primary Technical Lead for NetSuite and Workday Editions, building and refining technical implementations from schemas to integrations. This role involves collaborating with System TPMs and partners to understand business processes and data requirements, translating customer needs into scalable solutions using Flatfile's APIs and code, and driving cross-functional execution with product, engineering, and sales teams. The engineer will serve as the technical authority for these ecosystems, designing customized solutions, documenting technical best practices, and evangelizing the Editions internally to facilitate growth into new markets.
