Candidates must have field experience as a vegetation management crew member, possess the ability to evaluate circuit conditions and hours required to complete clearances to utility specifications, have computer knowledge, be able to communicate with various levels of field and management personnel and write reports, be able to wear necessary PPE as necessary, be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, i.e., rain, heat, sun, cold, be able to traverse various terrains, be able to write, read, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information, be able to communicate and handle confrontations professionally, be able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, etc.), have knowledge of heavy equipment, have transportation to and from the work location, be willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work, be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and be able to pass a background check and Motor Vehicle check.
The Foreman will lead vegetation management crews, ensure utility specifications are followed, coordinate with the General Foreman, pre-inspect projects and develop recommended management plans, maintain accurate project circuit maps, inspect crews, audit time sheets for accuracy, assist with customer notifications and customer complaints, preview work assignments and conduct post-work critiques, maintain an adequate inventory of tools and supplies, coordinate activities with the General Foreperson, perform other duties as required.
