Flock Safety is seeking a Flight Technician to join their Field Operations team. This role involves installing Flock Safety products, interacting directly with customers, and ensuring successful project completion. Responsibilities

  • Install poles of varying lengths according to specifications, including digging holes.
  • Assemble, kit, and install ancillary components and Flock Safety products.
  • Mount solar panels on poles and attach external batteries.
  • Affix license-plate reading cameras to poles and adjust for optimal footage capture.
  • Work on public and private roads, often at heights of 10-12 feet.
  • Occasionally use a bucket truck and/or ladder to work on equipment up to 30 feet high.
  • Repair minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring.
  • Adhere to daily schedules, arriving prepared and on time.
  • Complete work within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Provide installation pictures via the Flock field app.
  • Perform work in a safe and professional manner.
  • Meet with customers to discuss installation options and conduct site surveys.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
  • Manage and report daily inventory.
  • Coordinate projects between end-users and deployment teams.
  • Bring home a company vehicle (Dodge Promaster 1500 or similar) daily.

Requirements

  • Frequent/continuous bending, digging, reaching, climbing, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, driving, and independently lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Prior experience in field work (e.g., construction, security systems, low voltage wiring) is a plus.
  • Willingness to be trained to operate and drive a bucket truck.
  • Comfort working on and around ladders and at heights.
  • Handyman-like experience (personal or professional).
  • Ability to think critically and work with hands simultaneously.
  • Strong time-management and communication skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Desire to work outdoors and comfort working in all weather conditions.
  • General affinity for technology.
