Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sports marketing or related field (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • Minimum of 2 years in retail, sales, customer service, mentoring, or instructing
  • Understanding of the distinct Jordan proposition and new generation opportunities
  • Proven knowledge of streetwear, energy, and cultural landscapes, including consumer trends, local market hot spots, and retail destinations
  • Proven passion for staying at the forefront of streetwear and energy culture in NYC
  • Strong connections to influential creative communities within streetwear and energy, and the middle school and high school athlete community in NYC (highly preferred)
  • Proven ability to connect and encourage people, facilitate meetings, and make strategic recommendations
  • Ability to drive a culture of always-on testing and learning, rapidly applying consumer signals into strategy, planning, and content iteration
  • Deep passion for the Jordan Brand, sports, and culture
  • Positive and active presence on social media and digital platforms, with experience in content creation and online storytelling
  • Willingness and ability to travel within NYC up to 70% of the time
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and sample bags weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Experience with an event agency or large-scale special events (preferred but not required)
  • Empowered and motivated to grow within Nike Inc

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Key City Jordan Brand Manager and work closely with City and Geography Marketing teams to prioritize seasonal opportunities
  • Work most closely with the Energy field of play team to authenticate the Brand across key communities and spaces
  • Partner across Streetwear and Sport teams
  • Collaborate with executional partners across the organization to support select retail training and athlete education needs across the marketplace
  • Embody the endless pursuit of greatness and unwavering love and loyalty to the Brand
  • Act as the authority for Brand stories, living out values and attitude across cities
  • Serve the consumer and the Brand by building and cultivating community relationships
  • Translate insights into breakthrough ideas and experiences
  • Bring Jordan Brand stories to life across NYC
  • Act as an authenticating voice of the city
  • Actively participate in and cultivate the Jordan Brand community, integrating and collaborating with the community in meaningful ways
  • Tap into marketplace expertise to help develop insightful and locally relevant seasonal plans
