Requirements

  • High School diploma/equivalent
  • 3-5 years strong diesel vehicle repair experience
  • Strong mechanical background, with computer experience/skills
  • Solid work history
  • Ability to drive Class A and Class B tractors
  • Welding knowledge and experience preferred
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12 volt DC circuits
  • Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Trade school graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Class A CDL license preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on the Company's fleet equipment which includes Class A tractors, Class B straight trucks, cryogenic tankers, and tube trailers
  • Document/record work performed electronically on computer-based maintenance system
  • Maintain personal safety and training requirements using electronic training system
  • Perform road repairs when necessary
  • Perform electrical/electronic repairs on tractors and trailers
  • Participation in the Company’s Safety, Training, Environmental and Improvement programs
  • Perform cryogenic maintenance to include repair/replacing valves, piping, pumps, etc. (with on-the-job training provided)
  • Perform tube trailer maintenance to include repair/replacing valves, fittings, etc. (with on-the-job training provided)
  • Calibrate pump discharge meters
  • Spot/move trailers as needed
  • Building and grounds maintenance as needed
  • General housekeeping
  • Help manage Fleet inventories including parts, tires, lubricants, and fuels
