Requirements
- High School diploma/equivalent
- 3-5 years strong diesel vehicle repair experience
- Strong mechanical background, with computer experience/skills
- Solid work history
- Ability to drive Class A and Class B tractors
- Welding knowledge and experience preferred
- Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12 volt DC circuits
- Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience
- Trade school graduates are encouraged to apply
- Class A CDL license preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on the Company's fleet equipment which includes Class A tractors, Class B straight trucks, cryogenic tankers, and tube trailers
- Document/record work performed electronically on computer-based maintenance system
- Maintain personal safety and training requirements using electronic training system
- Perform road repairs when necessary
- Perform electrical/electronic repairs on tractors and trailers
- Participation in the Company’s Safety, Training, Environmental and Improvement programs
- Perform cryogenic maintenance to include repair/replacing valves, piping, pumps, etc. (with on-the-job training provided)
- Perform tube trailer maintenance to include repair/replacing valves, fittings, etc. (with on-the-job training provided)
- Calibrate pump discharge meters
- Spot/move trailers as needed
- Building and grounds maintenance as needed
- General housekeeping
- Help manage Fleet inventories including parts, tires, lubricants, and fuels
