Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, demonstrating a strong understanding of fleet operations, maintenance, and safety regulations. Experience with OSHA, DOT, and Tax commission regulations is also required.

Responsibilities

The Fleet Manager will oversee all aspects of the fleet maintenance function, ensuring a safe work environment and working conditions for employees. They will lead the creation of a culture of safety, interview, hire, and train fleet technicians, schedule training, provide performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with vehicle manufacturer’s service recommendations. The Fleet Manager will also manage purchasing, warranties, and inventory levels, work with drivers on specialized equipment, and produce weekly and yearly reports while complying with relevant regulations.
