Requirements
FCA Training & Competence exams (or "Grandfathered")
Additional accounting qualifications (nice to have)
Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with team members, internal departments, Trustees/Depositaries, Custodians, Auditors, and Fund Management Companies
Ability to work under pressure to meet timetabled deadlines with a mature approach
Strong written skills with numerical and computer literacy, including strong Excel spreadsheet skills, Word, Lotus Notes, and Invest One Enterprise
Good knowledge of FCA regulations for Unit Trusts, OEICs, ACS, and CIFs (e.g., COLL) and the most recent IA SORP
Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS accounting and regulations pertaining to Investment Trusts (preferable)
Responsibilities
Oversee, review, and sign off the timely production of financial accounts and other reporting deliverables (e.g., UT, OEIC, ACS, CAIF, Investment Trust, CIF interim and final report and accounts) produced by another jurisdiction, including XD working papers, distribution rates, and proofing of SORP accounts to required standards
Communicate professionally and effectively with NT Departments, Trustees/Depositaries, Custodians, Auditors, and Clients (Fund Management Companies)
Deliver quality service to clients, taking corrective and preventative actions to meet all KPI deadlines and quality standards
Support the development of the production jurisdiction and provide feedback on performance to local managers
Continually assess oversight team’s processes to improve efficiency, reduce risk or cost, and assist in enhancing revised departmental procedures for training
