About the Opportunity

Join our Finance Team as a Finance Manager for a 14-month fixed-term contract in Newcastle. This role offers a significant opportunity to make a real impact daily, enriching customer experiences through every conversation, code line, and interface we design. We are seeking curious and empathetic individuals to join us.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, revenue recognition, and capitalization of software development costs.
  • Oversee intercompany transactions, funding flows, and internal charges.
  • Ensure all journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Manage the month-end close process.
  • Oversee and review client liability reconciliations.
  • Ensure month-end reconciliations are complete and accurate within Blackline.
  • Review and approve reconciliations prepared by junior team members, ensuring they are appropriately supported.
  • Analyze financial information, detailing assets, liabilities, and income statement accounts.
  • Review payroll entries for correct coding and understand key financial movements.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to understand financial performance, align with key business movements, and respond to queries.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements for local statutory filing.
  • Support external and internal auditors by managing company requests.
  • Review indirect tax returns (VAT/GST etc.) and reconcile them to the ledger and Netsuite tax reports.
  • Prepare and review analysis of ledger activity for month-end reporting and tax analysis.
  • Work with the compliance team to prepare financial data supporting regulatory capital adequacy.
  • Prepare regulatory reports in conjunction with the Payment Operations team and compliance.
  • Manage tactical banking access requirements.
  • Prepare interim financial statements as required for company structuring, dividend approvals, or cash repatriation.
  • Assist with technical analysis of company activities to support the tax department with transfer pricing.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, develop potential solutions, and implement them.
