Requirements

  • Very strong analytical skills and MS Excel modeling capabilities to provide deep insights and resolve finance inquiries
  • Experience with manipulating large data sets, as well as ability to quickly learn new systems and tools

  • 10-15 years of experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis, including providing commentaries for senior stakeholders
  • Preferably experience with Oracle Hyperion products and Smartview

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of key management reporting and analysis to supported Business Units, Elsevier senior leadership and RELX (parent company) FP&A
  • Drive the development of Budgets, Forecasts, and monthly LV for sales across regions and key products
  • Participate in the quota setting process for the sales organisation
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including automations, implementation of GenAI tools, process redesign
  • Own sales planning application (Oracle)
  • Coordinate reporting and budgeting/forecasting cycles within BDS, ensuring the requirements and deadlines of Elsevier FP&A are met
  • Manage a team of 4
  • Build a dynamic service-oriented culture and maintain the reputation of the Centre of Expertise
