Responsibilities

  • Perform all service activities related to life extension, repair, and inspection of installed machine fleets at customer sites
  • Supervise construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment at customer sites
  • Conduct on-site machining, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), blade alignment, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics
  • Make engineering decisions
  • Expand knowledge in technical discipline to execute policies/strategies
  • Understand key business drivers and how own team's work contributes to the business area
  • Exercise some autonomy in decision-making within defined frameworks
  • Resolve issues encountered in prescribed procedures using good technical knowledge and judgment; consult senior team members for issues outside defined instructions/parameters
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills; may lead junior team members
  • For customer-facing role: build strong customer relationships and act as interface between customer and GE HealthCare
  • Present technical information to others
