Machine Learning Engineer
SweedFull Time
Mid-level (3 to 4 years)
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science and have over 5 years of engineering experience. A minimum of 3 years of direct customer support experience in Sales or Business Development is required, along with demonstrated basic knowledge of software perception systems or Computer Vision. Fluency in both Chinese and English is essential, as is proficiency in Python. Experience with Docker, Linux/Unix operating systems, and at least one major neural network/machine learning framework (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Tensorflow-Lite) is necessary. Familiarity with ONNX runtime for neural network quantization, running, and debugging, as well as experience selling/supporting semiconductor IP and supporting parallel C/C++ languages, are considered a plus. A solid understanding of intermediate Git concepts and the semiconductor development process, including RTL, GDS, and ASIC, is also required. The ability to methodically debug problems, communicate effectively with engineering teams, and test/deploy system updates is crucial.
The Field Application Engineer will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to provide pre-sales and some post-sales technical customer support. This role involves conducting remote and on-site training, delivering product presentations, and utilizing excellent customer communication and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include system debugging, coding, and scripting, as well as independently acquiring expert-level skills with Quadric's product line, including HPC Hardware, SDK, and Algorithms. The FAE will work with Sales to position and sell Quadric products, defend the unique Quadric architecture to customers, and assist customers during evaluations by installing SDKs and algorithms. They will analyze customer systems to identify optimal HW/SW solutions, diagnose technological problems, and communicate with engineering for resolutions. Regular technical discussions with customers will be held to explain Quadric deliverables and resolve issues with engineering support. The FAE will also coordinate with Sales and Engineering to formulate product specifications based on customer needs, conduct project feasibility studies, and perform some travel for training and regional needs.
Simplifies SoC design for machine learning
Quadric focuses on simplifying the design and programming of System on Chips (SoCs) specifically for machine learning applications. Their main product is the Chimera, a General-Purpose Neural Processing Unit (GPNPU) that combines matrix and vector operations with scalar control code in a single execution pipeline. This design allows developers to avoid splitting application code across different processors, making the development process more efficient. Quadric serves clients in the semiconductor industry, including SoC developers and manufacturers, who need to improve their machine learning capabilities. Unlike competitors, Quadric offers a comprehensive solution that includes both hardware and software tools, such as the Chimera LLVM C Compiler and the Chimera Instruction Set Simulator, enabling developers to design, simulate, and deploy their applications effectively. The goal of Quadric is to enhance the performance and ease of development for machine learning applications on SoCs.
